Join us Saturday, February 23rd as we present our Second Annual Iemanja Festival. For an evening of music and dance to honor Iemanja ~The Goddess of the Ocean we have gathered some of the Bay Area's finest musicians and performers. With music, dance, song and celebration we recreate this tradition to give thanks for the year behind us, invoke blessings for the year ahead and praise the natural powers of the earth that give life to every day.

Come view this presentation which recreates, through dancing and drumming, folkloric images of the traditional fishing village~ casting and hauling the nets, celebrating the big catch and honoring the source that nutures and sustains us.

Hear the "Songs of the Sireia (mermaid)" whose beauty can not be rivaled nor denied. And know for the first time why even the contemporary music of Bossa Nova will still lead you back to the seashore. Don't miss this beautiful celebration of Brazilian culture and traditions.A powerful and moving tribute that transcends time.
